The best eToro traders to copy
You might be familiar with eToro and know that eToro is world’s number 1 social trading broker and trading platform which can be a nice addition to your current trading portfolio. But which popular investors (the traders you can follow on eToro) are the best to copy?
In this article, I am going to show you some examples of traders that are worthwhile to follow. Once you find them interesting enough, you can copy their trades with a single mouse click.
What are Popular Investors?
The eToro Popular Investor program is a copy trading feature of the trading platform and it consists of four levels:
- Cadet
- Rising Star
- Champion
- Elite
Each level differs from the others in terms of benefits and requirements. Below you will find the details.

- Monthly loss cannot exceed 20% in the past 6 months.
- The statistics page must display at least 2 months of trading history
- Minimum average equity in the account must be $ 100
There must be at least 1 verified copier and the minimum assets under management (AUM) must be $ 200

In this blog post, I focus on the Elite Popular Investors as traders to copy.
Wesley Nolte: Focus on indices and stocks
Wesley is CTO at a startup in daily life, but that does not stop him from working on the stock market on a daily basis. His plan is to beat the S&P 500 by 20% this year.
Richard Stroud: VIX Champion
This trader has achieved an average return of more than 50% in the past 2 years. Obviously, this is no guarantee for the future, but with over $ 5 million AUM and more than 6,000 copiers, this is definitely a Popular Investor to keep an eye on.
His trades on the VIX (volatility index) have been big winners.
Yuri Zemtsov: Less risk from bonds and ETFs
This investor is from Estonia and mainly trades ETFs. Recently he also concluded a nice long trade on Bitcoin, which has yielded a nice profit. Not as spectacular a return as some other traders, but you also get a lower max drawdown in return.
Heloise Greef: Girl power with a preference for big tech
Heloise has gained 83.18% of all her trades on the eToro platform so far. That’s what I call girl power! She mainly trades in big tech companies such as Amazon and Microsoft and that has benefited her followers.
How can you copy eToro traders?
Hopefully, I was able to give you some insight into the world of Popular Investors.
Then click Copy on the profile page. In the next screen, you can set how much of your account you want to allocate to this trader and whether you want to copy the already open trades. I do not recommend the latter, because of course, you want to grab the entry that the Popular Investor also takes.
